This Privacy Policy describes how AlphaJoy ("we", "us", "our", or the "App") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application. AlphaJoy is a preschool learning app that helps children learn English and Hindi alphabet, numbers, multiplication tables, coloring, and quizzes in a fun, kid-friendly environment.
By downloading, installing, or using AlphaJoy, you (or a parent/guardian on behalf of a child) agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Information We Collect
a. Information you provide directly
- Display name: a name you or your child enters in the profile screen (stored locally on the device, and in the cloud if you sign in).
- Phone number (optional): if you choose to sign in with mobile OTP, we receive your phone number for authentication.
- Favorites & progress: letters, numbers, or activities you mark as favorites, and completion progress for learning modes.
- Support communications: messages or feedback you send to us by email.
b. Information collected automatically
- Device & technical info: device model, operating system version, app version, language, and crash logs.
- Usage data: features used and session activity in aggregated, non-identifying form for analytics (if enabled).
- Local storage: app preferences such as sound on/off and learning progress stored on your device.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide core learning features: alphabet, numbers, tables, coloring, and quizzes.
- Save your display name, favorites, and progress across devices when you sign in.
- Authenticate you via phone OTP when you choose to log in.
- Improve the App through crash diagnostics and anonymized analytics.
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing & Disclosure
We do not share your personal information with other users or advertisers. We may share limited data only with:
- Service providers that help us run the App (see Section 4).
- Legal authorities when required by law or to protect users' safety.

Device Permissions
- Internet / Network state: to sync data when you sign in and to load Firebase services.
- Text-to-speech (on-device): to pronounce letters and numbers when tapped.
The App does not request camera, contacts, location, or storage access for uploading user photos.
Data Storage & Security
Learning content and preferences are stored on your device. When you sign in, profile and sync data are stored on secure Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest.
Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the App.
- Cloud data is retained while your account is active.
- After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days.
Your Rights

Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your AlphaJoy account and associated cloud data at any time. See our Delete Account page for step-by-step instructions. Requests are processed within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
AlphaJoy is designed for young learners. We do not knowingly collect more personal information than needed to provide the App. Parents and guardians should supervise use and manage optional phone login. If you believe a child has provided personal information without consent, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
